This morning, I felt God showing me something simple but powerful:
Today is a day of reset and release.
Not tomorrow.
Not next month.
Not after I figure everything out.
Today.
As I sat with that thought, another realization began unfolding.
Every day and every moment holds something for us.
A lesson.
A reminder.
An opportunity.
A connection.
A piece of wisdom.
A moment of beauty.
A nudge from God.
Something.
Every Day Has Its Own Gift
Sometimes we recognize it immediately.
A conversation that changes our perspective.
A scripture that suddenly makes sense.
A breakthrough we’ve been waiting for.
A prayer answered.
Those moments are easy to notice.
They feel significant and important.
Worth remembering.
So we document them with words and pictures
We write them down.
We tell people about them.
We save them in our journals.
We save them in our phones.
We revisit them later.
Still, I think there is another category of gifts.
The things that seem insignificant.
There are moments that pass through our lives so quietly that we almost miss them.
A passing thought.
A brief interaction.
A random idea.
A subtle realization.
A feeling.
A tiny shift.
Even how we manage our home care and our daily responsibilities.
At first glance, these things seem insignificant.
I am beginning to see that many of these small moments are actually helping shape our journey.
How many times has God been speaking softly while I was waiting for something dramatic?
How many lessons have arrived disguised as ordinary moments?
Everything Matters
Not because every event is equally large.
Not because every moment changes the course of our lives.
But because everything contributes to who we are becoming.
The people we meet.
The books we read.
The conversations we have.
The challenges we face.
The prayers we pray.
The moments we rest.
The moments we release.
The moments we begin again.
Each one becomes part of the story.
Part of the formation.
Part of the journey.
A Day of Reset
Maybe that is why reset is so powerful.
A reset is not necessarily about fixing something.
Sometimes it is simply about returning.
Returning to presence.
Returning to gratitude.
Returning to trust.
Returning to what matters most.
Sometimes release is what makes room for that return.
Releasing expectations.
Releasing pressure.
Releasing old stories.
Releasing the need to force an outcome.
Releasing the belief that the moment or day must be extraordinary in order to matter.
Trust the Journey
One thing I continue learning in new ways, is that God sees the entire picture, when I can only see a small piece of it.
He knows which conversations really matter.
Which moments will become turning points.
Which seeds are being planted.
Which lessons are taking root.
Because of this, I don’t have to figure everything out today.
I can simply receive today for what it is meant for this moment, today, .
Questions to Reflect On
What is today offering me?
What am I being invited to release?
What am I being invited to notice?
Where is God showing up in ordinary moments?
Final Thoughts
Maybe not every lesson arrives with fireworks.
Maybe not every breakthrough announces itself.
Maybe some of the most important things God gives us come quietly.
A thought.
A realization.
A conversation.
A moment of peace.
A day of reset.
A day of release.
Perhaps everything on our journey matters in one way or another.
Even the things that seem small.
Especially the things that seem small.
Until next time, please know that you are treasured.
